A Family Sampler Cross Stitch Pattern
“The happiest moments of my life have been the few which I have passed at home in the bosom of my family.” Thomas Jefferson
From the designer: “Here is a special sampler designed to celebrate your family. Very traditional in design, motifs include the cherry tree (symbolizing prosperity, health and happiness) and a honeysuckle border (generosity and devoted affection).
In the lower border, I’ve tucked various initials from my family amongst the flowers. To help you personalize your sampler, the chartpak includes an alphabet and border worksheet so you can work out your own version.
Oops! Early printings have a typo in the color key - the dark gray color of Ver A'Soie silk used in the design should be number 3843 (not 6843).”
There are a few other stitches here: Basket weave stitch and Smyrna stitch but nothing you can’t handle.
Stitch count: 187 wide x 124 high (4.7” x 3”) Stitching Level: Intermediate. Stitch count is 187 wide x 124 high.
