From the designer “This 1827 sampler documents the family of John T. Alsap, 1832 – 1886, the first mayor of Phoenix, Arizona. It was recreated to commemorate Arizona’s Centennial.”

All cross stitch and some Smyrna crosses. 28 ct Vintage Sand Dune by Lakeside Linens was used for the sample. It is suggested to use this fabric and cross over two threads to make the sampler look realistic. It is absolutely ok to replace your family names here.
